Mode of study:


The second-cycle studies in International Business provide students with deep knowledge of management in international business and complementary disciplines enabling them to undertake positions of specialists and managers at medium and higher ranks, as well as advisors and consultants in enterprises functioning on international market. The studies also prepare students to establish their own businesses on international markets as well as to further educate themselves at doctoral studies (PhD).


Conditions for completion:

Completion of studies (obtaining credits and passing exams)submission of thesis,degree examination​

​As part of this course students may choose one of the following specializations:

  • Business in Central and Eastern Europe,
  • International Business Management.​

A graduate of the second-cycle studies in the field of International Business at Warsaw School of Economics:

  • demonstrates the ability to conceive, design, implement and adapt a substantial process of research within different fields and is able to manage the research process
  • demonstrates the ability to conduct professional activity on a domestic and an international level
  • is able to make a contribution through the original research that extends the frontiers of knowledge by developing a substantial body of work, some of which merits national or international refereed publications; in particular is able to find and use the sources of knowledge and acquire facts related to international business
  • is able to communicate his/her conclusions, and the knowledge and the rationale behind them, to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously
  • possesses the ability to think logically, and make analyses and as well as syntheses
  • is able to critically analyse, identify and interpret phenomena on the international scale
  • is able to identify competitiveness of the enterprise in the international market and indicate ways of its improvement,
  • is able to assess the impact of different phenomena on managerial processes as well as to prepare and make managerial decisions, especially the strategic ones
  • is able to identify, diagnose and solve problems concerning the managerial functions and management processes in an enterprise operating on the international market
  • is able to manage strategically and participate constructively in the organisational processes of decision making at all management levels in an enterprise
  • is able to organise the strategic analysis process and present its results in a concise way
  • is able to work in a multi-cultural team, organise its work and lead it as well as effectively communicate, negotiate and act above cultural differences existent​
Rules of admission:

​The enrolment has following stages:

  • registration in the on-line system
  • submission of required documents
  • verification of documents by SGH



Additional information:

​The Masters's Programme in International Bisuiness is directed to both Polish and international students holding bachelor's degree or higher.
