 Admission Procedure – on the same terms as Polish citizen

Programmes in foreign languages are conducted only as full-time studies.

The enrolment procedure for the academic year 2018/2019 for full-time and part-time first cycle (licencjat) programmes in Polish and 
full-time first cycle programmes (BA) in English will start 9th May 2018.

The enrolment has following stages:

  1. registration in the online system,
  2. qualification of candidates,
  3. submission of required documents,
  4. issuing decisions on admission,
  5. information about registration for classes sent by Undergraduate Studies Office
    (via e-mail).

Registration is possible only in Internet Registration System (ISR).

Registration of a candidate in ISR is considered a condition sine qua non (prerequisite) for starting qualification procedure.

The qualifying procedure shall consist only in the verification of the required documents.

To apply for full time studies in English candidate should confirm sufficient language proficiency.

Candidates for studies with medium of instruction English, who have not scored at least 70% in their maturity exam at a higher level need to submit a document confirming their language competence at a minimum level of B2.

The set of most popular documents confirming knowledge of the English language 

  • First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE), Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIB);

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) – at least 80 points in the Internet-Based Test (iBT) version or at least 510 points in the Paper-Based Test (PBT) version;

  • Spoken English Test (SET) for Business: Stage B "Communicator” level, Stage C "Expert” level, Stage C "Mastery" level;

  • London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations (LCCI): English for Business Level 2 – "Pass with Merit” level and "Pass with Distinction” level, English for Business Level 3, English for Business Level 4.;

  • International English Language Testing System IELTS – 6 points;

  • City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International (reading, writing and listening) Communicator (B2) 500/1765/2; City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in ESOL International (reading, writing and listening) Expert (C1) 500/1766/4; City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in ESOL International (reading, writing and listening) Mastery (C2) 500/1767/6;

  • BULATS – at least level B2 (from 60 points); BULATS


Full list of documents certifying the knowledge of English

The requirement stated in the foregoing sentence does not apply to candidates who: 

  • Hold an IB or EB diploma or another foreign maturity certificate issued by a school where English was the language of instruction.
  • Hold a higher education diploma in foreign philology or applied linguistics in English.
  • Hold a document confirming graduation from another university programme which was run in a foreign language.   

During qualification procedure for full time studies we consider the results of the Polish maturity exam in up to four subjects or results of same or similar subjects stated on the secondary school finishing certificate considered an equivalent to Polish maturity exam.

  • subject one: Mathematics or Physics 
    (for higher level on Polish maturity exam) –  1% = 1 recruitment point, max. 100 point;

    additionally for bilingual maturity exam – 1% = 1/3 point;
  • subject two (one of listed): Geography or History or Social Sciences or Economics or Physics (if subject one was Mathematics):
    (for higher level on Polish maturity exam) –  1% = 1 recruitment point, max. 100 point;

    additionally for bilingual maturity exam – 1% = 1/3 recruitment point;
  • first language: English or German or Russian or French or Spanish or Italian 
    (for higher level on Polish maturity exam) –  1% = 1 recruitment point, max. 100 point;

    (for bilingual level on Polish maturity exam) – 1% = 4/3 point but no more than 100 points
  • second language: English or German or Russian or French or Spanish or Italian
    (for higher level on Polish maturity exam) –  1% = 1/3 recruitment point, max. 33 points;

    (for bilingual level on Polish maturity exam) – 1% = 4/9 point but no more than 33 and 1/3 point

Physics and language can be only considered once.
